The Search for Intrinsic Value

Many factors play into our Investing Style, but key to our investment success is knowing what not to do.  Our first-hand knowledge of market performance through boom and bust cycles of decades past brings with it both a perspective and a foresight that allows us to know when to act on an opportunity and when to let others rush in.

At Paradigm Capital Advisors, we rely upon seasoned, private and institutional fiduciary experience, not anecdotal history, to hone our approach to investing.  We are value investors, whose fundamental objective is to not just deliver what we say we’re going to deliver, but to do so in the manner in which we say we’re going to do it. 

We don’t believe in making aggressive assumptions about variables beyond our control (e.g. interest rates, exit cap rates, rental rates, etc.) or in making capital markets driven momentum plays.  Rather, we take measured risks, diligently adhering to our risk profile, focusing on fundamentals, and carefully factoring in variables that we — as real estate owner/operators — not only understand, but can also often exploit through our capital markets expertise and additional in-house operating capabilities. 

As a result, we capitalize on idiosyncratic, asset level opportunities where we believe we can effectively manage associated risks and where we determine that we can add value through our proven investing and asset management expertise.
