Steve Allison is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of both Paradigm Properties and Paradigm Capital Advisors. In this capacity, Mr. Allison is actively involved with new consulting and business initiatives and is directly responsible for the investment activities of the Paradigm Companies.
Mr. Allison has over 30 years of broad real estate experience ranging from development to acquisition and management of various property types in numerous markets across the country. Over the past 10 years at Paradigm, Mr. Allison has been involved in the acquisition and repositioning of more than $500 million of property.
Prior to joining Paradigm Properties in 1997, he spent five years as the national director of acquisitions for two firms: National RE/Sources, a company founded by AEW Capital Management to acquire environmentally distressed assets; and the JE Robert/Goldman Sachs joint venture, now known as Archon. In this capacity, he directed acquisition activities and participated in the workout of over $4 billion in distressed real estate properties and loans, including 13 million square feet of office properties, 6.5 million square feet of retail properties, 3.3 million square feet of industrial properties, over 21,000 apartment units, 1,300 hotel rooms, and 1,200 acres of land across the nation. Previously, Mr. Allison spent 15 years focused on real estate development as Director of Development for Spaulding and Slye and as President of J.F. White Properties, where he developed more than $150 million of office, industrial, retail, and multi-family properties.
Mr. Allison has participated on a number of corporate and nonprofit boards. He presently serves on the board of the Harvard Club of Boston and is active in a variety of industry organizations, including the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, and the Greater Boston Real Estate Investment Advisory Council. In addition, Mr. Allison is a frequent guest panelist at industry events and at the MIT Center for Real Estate.
He holds a B.A from Dartmouth College.
