As Vice President of Property Operations for Paradigm Properties, Steve Flagg is responsible for the oversight and management of the company’s property management and engineering department as well as supervision of operations for all the properties within the company’s portfolio. He is also highly involved in the due diligence process, performing assessments and producing property condition reports relating to the staffing, operational, and physical aspects of potential new acquisitions.
Working with property management and engineering team members, Mr. Flagg oversees the implementation of client service and maintenance programs at our various facilities. His department is also responsible for tenant-related construction projects and major capital improvement projects. With an extensive background in the HVAC and facilities management field, including a seven year tenure with Building Technology Engineers, Mr. Flagg has overseen numerous full-building system upgrades relating to the mechanical aspects of various types of buildings. Mr. Flagg is known by many of Paradigm's building clients and third party owners as extremely responsive and a tireless and creative problem solver.
Mr. Flagg is an active member in the Boston chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) where he currently serves on the BOMA Engineering Board. Mr. Flagg is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and is involved in the International Facilities’ Management Association’s (IFMA) Boston chapter. Mr. Flagg is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor as an OSHA certified General Industry Instructor.
He graduated from Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology with Honors and is currently working toward his CFM (Certified Facility Manager) designation through IFMA in conjunction with Boston University. Mr. Flagg was a Construction Deck Supervisor while serving on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard.
