A History of Values-Based Operation

Since its inception, Paradigm Properties has been a values-driven company, actively participating in and devoting time, money, and ideas toward the social sector.  As a company with a culture that believes that the best way to build a business is by building community, we have consistently given back to the communities in which we live and work through a variety of civic activities.

Community Connection and Building Impact

In 1998, we created a program called Community Connection to harness the collective energy, resources, and goodwill of companies and individuals in the office buildings we owned and managed.  By connecting over 20 nonprofit organizations with the community of companies and individuals in our buildings, we were able to mobilize and empower people who wanted to play a greater role in making their communities stronger.

By 2003, the annual impact of Community Connection was estimated at $300,000, prompting us to found the nonprofit organization Building Impact to expand the impact of Community Connections beyond the bounds of Paradigm Properties owned or run buildings.

A History of Values

Today, Building Impact provides unparalleled opportunity for
widespread and large scale community impact by breaking
down time and access barriers to community involvement
and bringing opportunities for community engagement to
hundreds of companies and thousands of individuals where
they work and live.  Creating a large-scale network of
corporate citizens and civic participants, Building Impact
partners with other high-impact nonprofit organizations,
channeling the interest, involvement, and resources offered
by our program users to organizations working to address our most pressing community issues: youth, education, job training, community health, and affordable housing programs.
